Why feminism still matters
With eyes on Iran once again, we’re taking a moment to remember Mahsa Amini.
The 22-year-old woman was killed by Iran’s religious morality police in Tehran in September 2022.
Her crime? An ‘improper hijab’. She died for wanting to be free.

Trans-women want to use women’s spaces because they don’t feel comfortable in men’s spaces.
That’s fine.
What about the women who feel uncomfortable sharing a space with a trans-woman? For whatever reason. Where does she go?
If we are enabling some people to choose their safe space, yet we are stopping others from choosing their safe space, that doesn’t seem right.
I hope that makes sense. It’s a train of thought that I haven’t fully explored yet. But I hope it makes sense.
The Tories have been in power for 20 years. These are their current priorities. Aren’t these the very problems the Tories created?
